Redfall is an open-world co-op FPS from Arkane Austin, the award-winning team behind Prey and Dishonored. We were first introduced to it in an unexpected trailer last year and just recently got our first thorough look at it in the official gameplay reveal trailer at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022. The game, along with Starfall, was delayed until 2023. Redfall is an upcoming game by Arkane Studios, the creators of Dishonored, Prey, and Deathloop. The problem is that vampires have overrun the town and blocked out the sun’s rays, giving them complete freedom to roam through the streets. You can also petrify vampires with UV light and append stakes to regular weapons like a bayonet.īack in 2021, Redfall was announced with a cinematic trailer and a 2022 release date. The Things We Know About Redfall This is an open-world, first-person shooter with the action taking place in a town called Redfall, which is on an island in Massachusetts. Weapons come in a range of high tech security rifles to homemade stake-launchers to passed-down family heirlooms.
Each character has a unique skill tree and aren't easily mappable to pre-set roles like "tank" or "healer." If you are playing co-op, many abilities provide useable benefits for your allies as well. Devinder Crousely uses various gadgets and area-of-effects abilities as a means of fighting back the vampiric hordes. The video emphasizes two of the four heroes: Jacob Boyer can turn invisible and specializes in long-range weapons like sniper rifles. Players will be able to choose from four heroes, shown off in previous marketing material.

To free Redfall, players will face vampire gods and underbosses, "bootlicking cultists," and other supernatural creatures. Redfall is an open-world vampire shooter from the studio behind Dishonored Its coming to Xbox and PC in summer 2022. With this otherworldly extension of their worldly power, they take over the town. They eventually turn themselves into vampires. It starts with a tech start-up, Aevum Laboratories, buying property in the titular town and doing research into life extension.
